A bold and comforting chicken skillet with a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for weeknight meals or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the garlic butter mixture by mixing butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until combined.
  2. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and season both sides lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add the seasoned chicken breasts. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside while keeping the skillet over heat.
  5. Add chicken broth to the skillet and scrape up browned bits from the bottom.
  6. Stir the garlic butter mixture into the skillet, letting it melt and combine with the broth until it simmers.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over it and letting it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Transfer the chicken to a serving platter, garnishing with fresh parsley.

Notes

For thicker sauce, simmer gently or stir in additional softened butter off the heat before serving.
