Soft Butter Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your cookie trays with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract. Mix on medium speed until combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt while mixing on low speed until large crumbles form.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix until the dough absorbs the liquid.
  6. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large open star tip.
  7. Pipe the dough onto lined cookie trays, forming rosettes.
  8. Bake for about 13 to 15 minutes, until edges are light golden brown.
  9. Cool the cookies briefly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Ensure your butter is at room temperature for best results. Store cooled cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
