Texas Chocolate Pecan Pie

A rich and comforting dessert featuring caramel sweetness, melty chocolate, and crunchy pecans.

  • 1 (9-inch) pie crust, chilled
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate if it is not already prepared, and crimp the edges as desired.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
  4. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake on the center rack for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the center is set.
  6. Remove the pie from the oven and let cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother filling. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 4 days.
