Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cake

  • 150 grams all-purpose flour
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 ml milk
  • 80 grams butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 500 ml milk (for filling)
  • 150 grams sugar (for filling)
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour (for filling)
  • 2 large eggs (for filling)
  • 180 grams butter (for filling)
  • Icing sugar or favorite garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 150 grams of all-purpose flour, 100 ml of water, 100 ml of milk, 80 grams of butter, 4 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Mix until the batter is smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is baking, prepare the cream filling by heating 500 ml of milk and 150 grams of sugar in a saucepan until dissolved.
  6. In a separate bowl, whisk together 100 grams of flour and 2 eggs. Gradually add the warm milk mixture, stirring constantly. Cook until the filling thickens.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, slice it horizontally into two layers.
  8. Spread the cream filling between the layers and on top of the cake.
  9. Melt 180 grams of butter and drizzle it over the cake. Dust with icing sugar before serving.

Notes

Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results. Store the uneaten cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
