Italian Chocolate Salami

A no-bake dessert that resembles salami, bringing together dark chocolate, nuts, and cookies for a delightful treat.

  • 16 Biscoff cookies or Vanilla Wafers
  • ¾ cup toasted nuts (walnuts, pistachios, or hazelnuts)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Frangelico, Amaretto, Kahlua, or other liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Break the cookies into roughly ½-inch pieces and mix with the toasted nuts.
  2. Combine dark chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the cookie and nut mixture, stirring until well combined.
  4. Transfer the chocolate mixture onto plastic wrap and shape into a log, wrapping tightly.
  5. Refrigerate the wrapped salami for at least 120 minutes, or until firm.
  6. Remove from the wrap and roll in powdered sugar, brushing off any excess.
  7. Slice into pieces and enjoy, storing leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Notes

Store the salami in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze for up to a month.
