Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually mix this dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are set, then cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
