Gooey Coffee Caramel Cake

A delightful mash-up of coffee cake and luscious caramel sauce, resulting in a moist and gooey dessert that’s perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and cooled coffee. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan, then drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top.
  6. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the caramel sauce.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
  9. Serve warm, drizzled with additional caramel if desired.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding cinnamon or vanilla extract to the batter.
