Garlic Butter Steak With Parmesan Cream Sauce

A succulent steak seared to perfection and enveloped in a creamy, garlicky sauce with a hint of Parmesan.

Ingredients

  • Steak (ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon)
  • Butter
  • Garlic, freshly minced
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove the steak from the fridge and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat. Once foamy, add the steak and cook for 4–5 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest.
  5. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream, stir, and allow it to simmer for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  8. Slice the steak against the grain and pour the warm sauce over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a milder flavor, consider using mozzarella cheese and blend the sauce until smooth for kids.
