Garlic Butter Chicken

Warm, garlicky, and satisfying, this Garlic Butter Chicken is a week’s night hero that feels special enough for guests, featuring a succulent buttery garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil shimmers, add the chicken and sear for 5 to 7 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Set the chicken aside, tenting it lightly with foil to keep warm.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over it. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Transfer the chicken to serving plates, drizzle with remaining sauce from the pan, and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Let the chicken come closer to room temperature for even cooking. Use a meat thermometer to confirm 165°F internal temperature.
