  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 2 cups Strawberries (diced)
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Strawberry Puree

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the vanilla cake mix, eggs, sour cream, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon until well blended.
  4. Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the batter, followed by a layer of diced strawberries.
  6. Pour the remaining cake batter over the strawberries and smooth it out.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. While the cake is baking, prepare the icing by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and strawberry puree until smooth.
  9. Once baked, let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Drizzle the creamy icing over the cooled cake before serving.

Notes
