Creamy Garlic Chicken Bowtie Pasta

A comforting, family-friendly weeknight meal featuring tender chicken and a silky cream sauce over bowtie pasta.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 12 oz dried bowtie pasta
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 30 to 60 seconds.
  4. Add diced chicken breast, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and cook until browned, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.
  6. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Add cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with sauce.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

Use reserved pasta water to adjust the sauce’s consistency as needed.
