Delightful Cookie Recipe

This cookie recipe delivers delightful cookies that are crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1½ cups light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 cups add-ins of your choice (chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruits)
  • Maldon salt for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat and stir in the brown sugar until fully combined.
  3. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 10 to 20 minutes.
  4. Whisk together the flour, oats, baking soda, and kosher salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the eggs and vanilla to the cooled butter and sugar mixture and stir until blended well.
  6. Fold in the dry mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in your selected add-ins.
  8. Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Sprinkle with Maldon salt if desired right after removing from the oven.
  11. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For even browning, rotate your baking sheet halfway through baking. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
