A nostalgic dessert that combines rich chocolatey flavors with a creamy texture, featuring layers of crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and topped with gummy worms for a playful appearance.

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup Butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups Powdered sugar
  • 16 oz Whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 2 boxes Chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz each)
  • 4 cups Cold milk
  • Gummy worms (As needed for decoration)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, softened butter, and powdered sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. In another bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding according to the package directions using the cold milk. Mix until well combined and slightly thickened.
  3. Gently fold the prepared chocolate pudding into the cream cheese mixture until the two are just combined.
  4. Carefully fold the whipped topping into the pudding and cream cheese mixture, ensuring it is fully incorporated while still maintaining a light and fluffy texture.
  5. In a serving dish, layer half of the crushed cookies at the bottom.
  6. Spread half of the cream mixture over the crushed cookies.
  7. Repeat the layering process, finishing with a final layer of crushed cookies on top.
  8. Decorate the top of the dessert with gummy worms as desired.
  9. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.
  10. When you are ready to serve, scoop out portions and enjoy this delightful dessert.

Notes

For a richer flavor, experiment with different varieties of chocolate sandwich cookies. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze for up to 2 months if tightly wrapped.
