Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

Chocolate-covered pretzels are a simple, irresistible snack that balance sweet and salty in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces semi-sweet or white chocolate, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 4 cups pretzels
  • Optional: sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  2. Melt the chocolate with the oil using a double boiler or microwave, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
  3. Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate, lift with a fork and tap to remove excess.
  4. Use a toothpick to slide pretzels onto the lined baking sheet.
  5. Top with sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet if desired.
  6. Refrigerate for 20 to 30 minutes until the chocolate sets.
  7. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week or refrigerate for up to two weeks.

Notes

Use a fork with wide tines to lift pretzels and a gentle tapping motion to remove excess chocolate.
