Chocolate Caramel Bark

A nostalgic and gourmet treat combining silky chocolate, gooey caramel, and crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 20 oz chocolate almond bark, chopped
  • 25 caramel squares (about 1¼ cups caramel bits)
  • 12 tbsp water or heavy cream
  • Whole pecans, as many as desired

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Rough chop the almond bark and place it in a microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Melt on 50% power for 3 minutes, then stir. Continue microwaving in 1-2 minute intervals at 50% power, stirring between each, until smooth.
  4. In another microwave-safe bowl, melt the caramel squares with 1-2 tablespoons of water or heavy cream on 50% power.
  5. Heat in short bursts and stir until the caramel is silky and pourable.
  6. Reserve 1/4 cup of the melted chocolate in a small bowl for drizzling later.
  7. Pour the remaining melted chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer.
  8. Drop dollops of the melted caramel across the chocolate layer.
  9. Use a toothpick or skewer to swirl the caramel gently through the chocolate.
  10. Sprinkle whole pecans over the swirled chocolate and caramel.
  11. Drizzle the reserved chocolate over the top.
  12. Let the bark set at room temperature for 2-3 hours until completely firm.
  13. Once set, cut or break the bark into pieces and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Warm bowls before melting chocolate to reduce cooling. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
