Cheesy Broccoli Casserole

A comforting and cheesy dish combining fresh broccoli and a rich cheddar sauce, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. If using fresh broccoli, chop into small florets and steam or boil for about 5 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine steamed broccoli, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Stir in 1.5 cups of sharp cheddar cheese into the broccoli mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

Notes

For a twist, try adding cooked chicken or using cauliflower instead of broccoli.
