Cheesesteak Tortellini in Creamy Provolone Sauce Delight

A deliciously creamy and cheesy dish that combines tortellini with sautéed steak, bell peppers, and onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 8 oz steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Steak: In a high-sided skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add thinly sliced steak, seasoned with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in sliced bell peppers and onions, sautéing for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Combine Steak and Veggies: Return the steak to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Make the Sauce: Lower the heat and pour in heavy cream. Stir in shredded provolone cheese until melted and creamy.
  5. Add Tortellini: Stir in cooked tortellini, mixing to coat, and let simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Taste and Adjust: Adjust seasonings as needed; if too thick, add cream or water.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Plate the dish, garnishing with chopped parsley. Serve hot.
