Browned Butter Blondies

Delicious and chewy blondies with the rich, nutty flavor of browned butter, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until it turns golden brown and creates a nutty aroma (about 5-7 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar and cooled browned butter until fully blended.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper. Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden, and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool for 15 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

For the best results, avoid overbaking. Store cut blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
