Best Steak and Cheese Garlic Toast

A delicious open-faced sandwich topped with juicy steak, gooey cheese, and a rich garlic spread, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 baguette or crusty bread
  • 1 lb ribeye steak (or your preferred cut)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (provolone, mozzarella, or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: Sautéed mushrooms, onions, or green bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix minced garlic with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Spread this mixture across sliced bread.
  3. Season your steak with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil, and sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side to your desired doneness. Rest it for about 5 minutes.
  4. Slice the steak into thin strips against the grain.
  5. On a baking sheet, layer sliced steak over garlic-coated bread and top with shredded cheese.
  6. Bake for about 8-10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove from oven, slice into portions, and serve hot.

Notes

To enhance flavors, try using different types of cheese or adding herbs. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
