Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar: In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs: Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Incorporate buttermilk, lemon zest, and juice: Gradually mix in the buttermilk and the lemon zest and juice.
