7 Layer Bars

Classic 7 Layer Bars with a buttery graham cracker crust, gooey sweetened condensed milk, butterscotch and chocolate chips, topped with toasted coconut and pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup salted butter, melted
  • 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1⅓ cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan by lightly coating it with nonstick spray and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs with the melted salted butter in a bowl and mix until evenly moistened.
  3. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form an even crust.
  4. Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust.
  5. Layer the butterscotch chips, then the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the condensed milk.
  6. Sprinkle the flaked coconut over the chips, followed by the chopped pecans, and press down gently.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and bubbling.
  8. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, then cut into pieces.

Notes

For even slices, chill the pan for 30 minutes after cooling. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for 1 week.
