Vanilla Cinnamon Sugar Christmas Bites

Delightful bites that combine vanilla and cinnamon into a soft, sweet treat perfect for the holiday season.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Extra sugar and cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  4. Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into small balls. Place them on a greased baking sheet or air fryer basket, leaving space between each bite.
  5. In a small bowl, mix additional sugar and cinnamon for coating. Roll each dough ball in this mixture.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden in the oven, or air fry for 8-10 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother dough. Don’t overmix to prevent tough bites.
