Taco Pasta Shells

A delightful fusion of classic pasta and taco flavors, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1216 large pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • Chopped cilantro (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente, about 9-11 minutes.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Mix in refried beans and half of the shredded cheese into the meat mixture. Add tomato sauce and mix well.
  5. Stuff each pasta shell with the meat and cheese mixture and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Pour remaining tomato sauce over the stuffed shells and sprinkle with the rest of the shredded cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbling and golden.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving, garnished with chopped cilantro.

Notes

Easily customizable with different proteins or vegetarian options. Serve with a fresh salad or guacamole.
