Root Beer Float Pie

A creamy, delightful twist on the classic root beer float, transformed into a delicious pie perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup root beer
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well blended. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  2. Mix the Filling: Whisk together heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Add Root Beer: Gently fold in the root beer and vanilla ice cream into the whipped cream mixture, taking care not to deflate it.
  4. Assemble the Pie: Pour the root beer filling into the cooled graham cracker crust and smooth the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Add whipped cream on top, and optionally garnish with crushed root beer candies before serving.
  6. Slice and Savor: Cut into slices, serve chilled, and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, try incorporating a layer of chocolate ice cream for a chocolate root beer float pie or making individual mini pies for kids.
