Puppy Chow Cookies

A delightful combination of classic Puppy Chow flavor in cookie form, perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups Chex cereal (rice or corn)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the bowl, and beat until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Gently fold in the Chex cereal until fully coated.
  7. Drop rounded mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or pair with a glass of cold milk for a delicious treat.
