Pineapple Dump Cake

A simple, crowd-pleasing dessert that bursts with tropical flavor, this Pineapple Dump Cake combines moist pineapple with a sweet cake layer for a delightful treat.

Ingredients

  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 20 ounces pineapple tidbits, with juice
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 15.25 ounces yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup cold salted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Spread the crushed pineapple, including its juice, into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Layer the pineapple tidbits with their juice over the crushed pineapple.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the light brown sugar over the layer of pineapple.
  6. Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the brown sugar layer.
  7. Slice the cold butter into thin pats and distribute them across the entire surface of the cake.
  8. Bake for approximately 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Allow the cake to rest for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, try using dark brown sugar instead of light brown. You can also add chopped nuts for extra texture.
