Pesto Grilled Cheese

A flavorful twist on a classic grilled cheese sandwich, enhanced with vibrant pesto and bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • Sourdough or whole grain bread
  • Cheese (mozzarella or sharp cheddar)
  • Pesto (homemade or store-bought)
  • Butter or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and slice the bread evenly.
  2. Spread pesto on one side of a slice of bread and sprinkle cheese on top.
  3. Top with another slice of bread, pesto side down.
  4. Melt butter or warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  7. Check if the cheese is melting; cover the skillet for 1-2 minutes if necessary.
  8. Remove, cool for a minute, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Experiment with different types of bread and cheese, and try adding veggies for extra flavor.
