Pecan Pie Crescents

A portable version of traditional pecan pie wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until well combined.
  3. Open the crescent roll dough and unroll it onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the pecan mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Starting at the wide end, roll the dough tightly towards the point, tucking in the filling as you go.
  6. Place the rolled crescents on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, point-side down.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes on a wire rack, dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Best served warm, and can be paired with vanilla ice cream or powdered sugar.
