One Pan Creamy Garlic Chicken & Cheesy Bowtie Pasta

Warm and comforting, this One Pan Creamy Garlic Chicken and Cheesy Bowtie Pasta is a perfect weeknight dinner that’s easy to clean up.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth (low sodium)
  • 3 cups uncooked bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 1 cup whole milk or half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breast with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the seasoned chicken to the pan and cook for 5 to 6 minutes until golden.
  4. Remove the chicken from the pan, leaving the browned bits.
  5. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil, scraping the bottom of the pan.
  7. Stir in uncooked bowtie pasta, cover, and let simmer for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Stir in whole milk (and heavy cream if using) and return chicken to the pan.
  9. Add mozzarella and Parmesan, stirring until melted.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use low sodium broth for better control over salt level. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
