Mac and Cheese Meatloaf Casserole

A comforting blend of cheesy goodness and savory meatloaf, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups Cooked Macaroni
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.
  3. In salted boiling water, cook your macaroni until just al dente, drain, and set aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cooked macaroni with half of the cheddar cheese and a splash of milk.
  5. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the meatloaf mixture, followed by the macaroni and cheese mixture, repeating the layers, finishing with the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake for about 50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Let sit for about 10 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different cheeses, herbs, or add vegetables to the meatloaf for personalization.
