Irresistibly Creamy Cheesesteak Tortellini in Rich Provolone Sauce

A hearty and creamy take on the classic cheesesteak, this dish features tender tortellini enveloped in a rich provolone sauce and savory sautéed beef.

  • 12 oz Fresh Tortellini
  • 1 lb Beef Steak (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups Provolone Cheese (shredded)
  • 1 large Yellow Onion (sliced)
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper (sliced)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tortellini: Boil salted water, add tortellini, cook until al dente (3-4 mins), drain and toss lightly in olive oil.
  2. Sauté the Meat and Vegetables: In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil, add sliced steak and cook until browned (5-7 mins), then keep warm.
  3. Cook the Veggies: In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil, sauté onion and bell pepper until tender (5-6 mins), then add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Return beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, pour in heavy cream, and simmer while stirring for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the Cheese: Gradually add shredded provolone cheese until melted and mixture is creamy.
  6. Fold in the Tortellini: Stir in the cooked tortellini, ensuring they are coated with the sauce.
  7. Serve and Adjust: Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is warmed through. Serve immediately.

Notes
