Ingredients

  • Pretzels (about 4 cups)
  • Unsalted butter (1 cup)
  • Brown sugar (1 cup)
  • Vanilla extract (1 tsp)
  • Chopped nuts (optional) (½ cup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the pretzels evenly on the lined baking sheet.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and brown sugar, stirring continuously until melted and bubbly (about 4-5 minutes).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Quickly pour the toffee mixture over the pretzels, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, keeping an eye on them until the edges darken and the pretzels bubble.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
