Indulgent Burnt Basque Cheesecake in a Loaf Pan

A rich and creamy Basque cheesecake with a beautifully burnt top, made easily in a loaf pan.

  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line your loaf pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and mix for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla extract, mixing until just combined.
  6. Sift in the flour and gently fold until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is dark brown and the center is jiggly.
  9. Cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Notes

Serve chilled, optionally topped with fresh fruit or chocolate drizzle.
