Honey Pecan Croissants

Turn simple bakery croissants into a decadent treat with warm, sticky honey and crunchy pecans for a delightful weekend brunch or elegant afternoon tea.

  • 4 large buttery croissants
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place a baking sheet nearby for the croissants.
  2. Slice each croissant lengthwise, taking care not to cut all the way through.
  3. Toast the chopped pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until fragrant and lightly browned.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  5. Stir in the honey, brown sugar, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt into the melted butter.
  6. Cook the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
  7. Remove from heat, stir in the toasted pecans.
  8. Spoon the mixture into each sliced croissant.
  9. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until warm and slightly crisp.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve immediately while warm for the best texture and flavor.
