Homemade Churro Bites with Nutella

Delicious bite-sized churros filled with creamy Nutella, perfect for sharing at gatherings or enjoying as a cozy dessert.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Nutella

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the water, butter, sugar, and salt over medium heat, stirring until the butter melts.
  2. Once it simmers, remove from heat and add the flour, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes.
  4. Fill a piping bag with Nutella or scoop dollops onto a plate.
  5. Flatten a small piece of dough, place Nutella in the center, fold over, and roll into a ball.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan to about 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry the filled dough balls in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  9. Roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture while warm.
  10. Serve warm with extra Nutella or your favorite dip.

Notes

Experiment with different fillings like peanut butter or dulce de leche for unique flavors.
