Healthy Air Fryer Churro Bites

Delightful and guilt-free churro bites made in an air fryer, satisfying your sweet cravings without excess calories.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Create a well in the center and add water, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and roll into small balls, about one-inch in size. Place on a parchment-lined plate.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  4. Lightly grease air fryer basket and place churro balls inside with space between them.
  5. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Roll churro bites in the mixture while still warm.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with chocolate dipping sauce.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with gluten-free flour blend.
