German Chocolate Dump Cake

A simple and delicious dump cake that combines the rich flavors of German chocolate, coconut, and pecans.

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, coconut, and pecans.
  4. Add eggs, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and warm water to the dry mix and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding vanilla or cinnamon. Can be stored for up to 3 days at room temperature or a week if refrigerated.
