German Chocolate Dump Cake: A Sweetly Easy Delight

A rich and decadent dessert that is easy to prepare, combining chocolate, coconut, and pecans in a delightful one-pan cake.

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable or canola oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 jar chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water; stir until just incorporated.
  4. Fold in the sweetened coconut and chopped pecans gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, tapping lightly to release air bubbles.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and the cake springs back.
  7. Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes, then spread chocolate frosting over the warm cake.
