Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese

A delightful twist on comfort food, combining crispy garlic bread and melted cheese for a warm, savory experience.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sourdough or French baguette
  • 2 slices of American, mozzarella, or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  2. Spread the garlic butter mixture on the outside of each slice of bread.
  3. Add a generous layer of cheese on the inside of one slice.
  4. Assemble the sandwich with the second slice on top, butter side out.
  5. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Flip the sandwich gently and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove, let cool slightly, cut in half, and serve with tomato soup or salad.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding herbs to the butter or experimenting with different cheese types.
