Frosted Peanut Butter Cookies

Delicious frosted peanut butter cookies with a chewy texture topped with creamy frosting.

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter (for frosting)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
  4. Scoop out dough and roll into balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until slightly golden and soft in the center. Cool them on a wire rack.
  6. For the frosting, beat together powdered sugar, softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Once the cookies are cooled, frost each cookie generously.
