Easy Taco Pie

A delightful cross between a taco and a pot pie, Easy Taco Pie features seasoned ground beef, zesty salsa, and cheese in a crispy crust, making it a family-friendly favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 1 cup taco seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 pie crust
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and salsa; let simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add black beans to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Place the pie crust in a pie pan and pour the meat mixture into it, then sprinkle cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes before serving with fresh toppings.

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to three days. Customize with various toppings and proteins.
