Easy Crockpot Shredded Chicken Breast

A simple and flavorful slow-cooked shredded chicken that’s perfect for tacos, sandwiches, or salads.

  • 2 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth or Stock
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and ensure the crockpot is clean.
  2. Rinse chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry.
  3. Place chicken in the crockpot and sprinkle with garlic and onion powder, then add salt and pepper.
  4. Pour chicken broth around the chicken without washing away the seasonings.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Remove chicken from the crockpot and shred with two forks.
  7. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir back into the broth or serve separately.
  8. Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container for later use.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with different spices or sauces. Leftovers can be frozen for up to 3 months.
