  • 1 pound crab meat (fresh or canned; lump crab is ideal)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely diced
  • ¼ red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. If using fresh crab, gently crack the shells and scoop out the meat, ensuring no shells are left. If using canned, drain and rinse the crab meat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir until smooth.
  3. Chop the celery, red bell pepper, and red onion into small pieces.
  4. In a large bowl, gently fold the crab meat into the creamy sauce. Add the chopped vegetables and fresh dill. Mix slowly.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste, adjusting flavors as needed.
  6. Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors.
