Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

A comforting and easy-to-make Crockpot Pierogi Casserole with rich kielbasa, creamy cheeses, and tender pierogi, perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 pound kielbasa, diced
  • 24 ounces frozen pierogi
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Dice the kielbasa, onion, garlic, and potatoes.
  2. Layer half of the frozen pierogi at the bottom of the crockpot, followed by half of the diced kielbasa, onions, garlic, and potatoes. Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  3. Add the remaining pierogi, kielbasa, and potatoes in the same order. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top, then add the dill.
  4. In a bowl, mix the sour cream with salt and pepper, then spread it evenly over the casserole layers.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the pierogi are tender and heated through.
  6. Carefully scoop out portions and serve hot, adding sour cream or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Feel free to substitute kielbasa with turkey sausage or a vegetarian option. Adjust spices to your preference.
