Creamy Lemon Chicken with Pasta

A comforting dish of seared chicken and farfalle pasta in a luxurious lemon cream sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings.

  • 12 oz Farfalle pasta, dry
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 8 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons fresh minced parsley
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta; cook for 12 minutes, then drain.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season the chicken with thyme, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Cook in the skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until cooked through, then set aside.
  4. Melt butter in the same skillet, then sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Whisk in the heavy cream and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add lemon juice and parsley; mix well.
  7. Combine the cooked chicken and sauce, then pour over the pasta, tossing to combine.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parmesan and parsley as desired.
