  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or parmesan)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and ground beef, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine. Simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
  5. Gradually mix in shredded cheese until melted. Add reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
  6. Fold in cooked pasta, ensuring it is well coated with sauce. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Serve in bowls and garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
