  • 8 slices of bread, cubed
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cubed bread, cooked sausage, diced peppers, and onions.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture and fold together until evenly soaked.
  5. Add 1 ½ cups of the cheese and gently mix.
  6. Pour into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Top with remaining cheese.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden and a knife inserted comes out clean.
