Cozy Mac and Cheese Meatloaf Casserole

A warm, comforting casserole that blends savory meatloaf with creamy mac and cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup macaroni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cooked macaroni, milk, and 1 cup of shredded cheese. Fold this into the meat mixture.
  5. Transfer the mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly. Top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
