Church Potluck Peach Dump Cake

A comforting dessert featuring juicy peaches under a golden, crispy cake topping, perfect for gatherings and potlucks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup, 15 ounces each
  • 1 box yellow cake mix, 15.25 ounces
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the peaches with their syrup into the prepared baking dish and spread them evenly across the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches, covering the fruit with a uniform layer.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the cake mix, distributing it so pockets of warmth appear through the topping.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter all over the top so it soaks into the dry cake mix in multiple spots.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top if using.
  7. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly around the edges.
  8. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For even baking, ensure the cake mix layer is spread uniformly. Cover cooled cake with plastic wrap or refrigerate for up to 4 days. Freeze for up to 2 months.
