Chicken Blue Ribbon

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken in a creamy sauce, infused with savory spices, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: If using thighs, trim excess fat. If using breasts, pound gently to even thickness. Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Mix the sauce: In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, onion powder, and chicken broth. Mix until smooth.
  3. Layer the chicken: Place chicken pieces into your slow cooker or skillet. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
  4. Cook: If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours. If using a stovetop, cover and simmer on low for 30 to 40 minutes.
  5. Check for doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked through (165°F).
  6. Serve: Once cooked, shred the chicken slightly in the sauce and stir to combine. Serve immediately over rice or with crusty bread.
